Roland Sliced Bamboo Shoots are cut from a tropical, Oriental bamboo plant. They have an ivory to light yellow color, unique tree like flavor with a crisp texture. Sliced Bamboo Shoots should be rinsed prior to use. Cook whole or in chunks for at least five minutes or until the shoots no longer taste bitter. Bamboo Shoots are added to dishes which will be stir-fried, simmered or steamed. After using refrigerate the remainder in cold water. An Asian favorite.
