Coriander seed is the dried ripe fruit of a plant belonging to the parsley family. Typically it is grown in the Mediterranean, Morocco, India, Mexico and Canada. It has a slight lemon flavor with a hint of sage. Toast, then crush, equal amounts of coriander, cumin and fennel seeds for rub on meats.
